Innoline Riser Fan Coil

Innoline® Riser Fan Coil units provide heating and cooling without water control valves. Two Pipe (Heat/Cool, Heat Only and Cool Only) and Four Pipe configurations operate as part of a Centralized Heating and Cooling System.

Replace an obsolete heating and air-conditioning system with a new Whalen fan-coil system, at a reasonable cost, with little inconvenience to tenants, and with minimal disruption of building operations.

Design features:
  • Highly effective humidity control
  • Enhanced insulation
  • Upgraded universal controls
  • Variable speed pumps
  • User-friendly drain service system
  • Larger service openings

Designed to facilitate easy coil inspection and cleaningA vastly improved drain service system with slip coupling simplifies drain line access and cleaning.

Features and Benefits:
  • The purpose of vertical stack equipment is to simplify field installation. Equipment includes custom cabinets, custom risers and custom controls, integral condensate pumps, and protective air covers to guard against construction debris.
  • Units are made to be installed with minimum field labor. They help control costs by eliminating the need to plan for unnecessary field related tasks.
  • All two-pipe vertical fan coil units incorporate Whalen’s universal control system, a user friendly plug-and-play interface for simplicity and ease of maintenance.
  • The system allows for upgrade possibilities before and after installation, from our standard electronic thermostat to a more sophisticated digital and programmable control system.
  • The riser fan coil aids in humidity control in active and passive roles. In the active role, excess room moisture is removed when air passes through four rows of coil. In the passive role, the system doesn’t allow moisture to re-evaporate into the living space, which would otherwise create a cold and clammy condition.
Variable Speed Pumps
  • Part load controls can reduce system pump flow. The riser fan coil is designed to provide 90% of cataloged capacity when system flow is reduced by 50%.
  • During part-load conditions, cooling capacity may improve in individual fan coils.
  • The Whalen System is designed to operate at a 50% reduction in pump flow whenever there is a 50% or lower part load requirement.
  • This system also provides for system redundancy at the pumps and terminal equipment.
For Building Owners:
  • Increased reliability from elimination of brazed joints within unit
  • Lower maintenance for filter change with no valves, and a permanently lubricated motor
  • Floor level maintenance, no ladders required
  • Elimination of system resistance caused by control valves coils and runout piping
 for lower pumping costs
  • Design aesthetics, including a drywall enclosure
  • Service can be performed through the attractive access grille
  • Quiet operation
For Contractor
s:
  • Labor savings
  • Complete piping packages included
  • Risers factory-installed in each unit
  • No need for labor and material for runout piping from the unit to the supply/return riser
  • No venting of individual units required
  • No balancing of individual units
  • Surface mounted, plug-in thermostat
  • Precise identification and labeling of each unit for effective job site distribution
